Oh summer

How I long for spring and summer to come. That does not mean I don't enjoy the weahter thoug. If I can believe the forecasts it might even freeze and snow next week...!!

There was some serious flirting going on in the gym yesterday when two girls approached the teachers.. :)

Dessert

The dessert of last weekend was an in red wine, cinnamon and sugar boiled pear. Bon appetite!

Birds birds birds

Last sunday during a walk around the lake we saw swarms of birds, so many that we had to run and hide for the droppings attack which came with the spectacle.

Taking a bath

A statue of a lady, taking a bath? I don't know... It could be related to some kind of profession which was practiced in Linschoten. I like the barn in the back which has fallen into decay.

Linschoten

I am going to do some postings on the (very) little town of Linschoten which is part of the Woerden municipality. It has a well preserverd center of just 5 or 6 streets. This is the shot of the Reformed Church, very old and rustic.

Sunlight

We had some sun yesterday! The winter has been mainly grey so I welcomed the few sunrays with cheer!

I spotted this painting on the open day of Synergos, an 'office rent out' for small businesses in Woerden. I like this painting simple yet different.

Sign of Spring and Dutch Dialy Photo meeting

During my morning jog I saw a tree with flowers, the first sign of spring? It feels as if the winter even hasen't started.

That same saturday I met up with the bloggers of The Netherlands: Rotterdam, Tilburg, Gouda and Venlo were present. It was nice to meet up and to see the people who's blogs I have been viewing the past year(s).

Mural

Usually I am not so fond of wallpaintings. But this one I actually liked. It was the only colorful thing in a grey street on a grey day.

Winter shot

Winter is not as it supposed to be this year. It's warm-ish and lot's of rain and grey. I was impressed with the sky lately though.

A walk in the castle garden

A walk in the gardens of the Haarzuilens castle is always nice. The castle gardens are open for public in exchange of a small fee. It's very well kept.

Soon to be put away

A Christmas deco soon to be put away again. I had a good time this holiday season and I am a bit resenting that all the lights are to be put away. This because the dark, cold, rainy wheater steps to the front again. It's rarlly a dreary winter this year.

Boeuf Bourgignon
