Coble stones
Such a familiar site, coble stone roads instead of asfalt. I realized lately that this isn't the case for many people in the world. I guess it is a European thing to keep roads paved with coble stones. Accept for highways of course.

Know what you see
The add says 'to know what you see'. I know that I see Mona Lisa, but Mona Lisa doesn't know that she is seeing me. I say the quote makes Mona Lisa not so intelligent.

Mill of IJsselstein
Great shot of the windmill of IJsselstein. It looks like a winter scene, but it is really the twilight setting in.

Cat in stone
A cat in one of the gravestones of a church where I recently have been. I don't know which one anymore. It must have some kind of meaning.

Tower of St. Nicholas
The tower of the Reformed church of Nijmegen again, it has a different top. The base is from 1530. The top from the last century. Due to a lightning struck they had to redo the top of the tower. The effect is a real interesting composition.

Mystic
In the corner of my eye this grabed my attention:
- Is it the new against the old?
- The horizontal with the vertical?
- A prayer shot to heaven?
- The first migration shuttle leaving earth to a new planet to inhabet somewhere in the universe?
- Wite agains earth colors...

Page
A historic page from a historic book from long ago, at the Catherine Museum of Utrecht.
Last month there was an exposition on the Camino to Santiago de Compostela.

Irritation
In the centre of Woerden a new set of houses have been build. Not that bad actually but I am irritated with the poor skills of the architect, in case of the 'decoration' above the doors. Could he not think of anything more exciting that the number 2B and 2A above the doors?

Hidden house in Woerden centre
There are a few 'great' historic mantions in Woerden. Build around 1860 somewhere. All but one are visible for the public eye. This one is in the middle of centre hidden behind large trees and greenery. Only in winter you can have a glimpse of the house. A pitty because it would brighten up the centre if it was visible. The owners are very private people..

The Vespa is really a great gift from Italy, not that I would want to haven one though. Maybe a nice gift idea for my nice.

House for Sale
Great mansion for sale in Woerden. It is not so old, for Dutch standards a lot of space and garden... so if you are looking for a nice spot to hang out...
