City Daily Photo
I have joined City Daily Photo which is a site where members publish blogs with daily pictures of their town or city. I saw that Woerden was not presented yet. Before I came to live here I always thought that Woerden was a boring stuffy city and never took the time to see more than the train station. Since I live here I have come to know that it is a lively interesting town with a lot of history and social activity. Besides that I like the idea to have a look in the lives of others around the world by camera. So I hope this will be a interesting insight about living in a town in The Netherlands.
City in the west of the Dutch province Utrecht, founded by the Romans in 40 AD as a castellum at the Northern Fronteer of the Roman Empire. Received city rights in 1372, forensic city for North and South Holland's bigger cities, 33.650 inhabitants.
Woerden Community contains the towns and villages: Harmelen, Kamerik and Zegveld.
