Collectors fair

I have been with a friend to the collectors fair in Utrecht. I was amazed of what things are collected. The coming days an impression of the stuff I thought interesting enhough to photograph. My interest does is cartoons so plenty of pics of those.

I saw this painting in a art shop last week. I like the painting. A very simple painting technique, but a great result. The woman has a real expression.

Evening Fair

Last week there was an evening fair in town.. I was surprized that I could make a such a good picture with my iPhone. For the rest it was not interesting to stay, it would have been fun if I was 16 years of age. That was the age of the average visitor.

Petrus church

Just a shot of the tower of the Petrus church in the centre of Woerden. We have a lot of sun this autumn.

The yearly cow market

The yearly, so called cow market, has been last wednesday. The centre of town is then one big market. Lot's of food.. Here some shots to have an impression of the market stands.


The first stand is one with sausages. It's the time of the year for the sausage we eat traditionally in the winter seizon, called rookworst or smoked sausage. This stand owner has traditional made sausages.


Lot's of fish too, but that is not really my pick..


Cheese is traditionally round, but that doesn't needs to be like that.

Italian film evening

Shot made in the cinema, they are organising an Italian movie evening. I need to send this information through to a friend who is made about anything coming from Italy.

Apples and Pears

It's the time of the year that we have fresh apples and pears again. This year has been a good year for these fruits, they are very juicy and tasty. The summer we had was perfect for them and there are many! On the country side you see the trees full with big tempting apples. But eating apples is a virtue I guess.


Note that the farm building is dating from late middle ages. You can see this from the type of stones.

Tree of Sun

The weather was so sunny this last sunday, I had to go out and make a trip with my bike. In the fields on a road where I have never been before I saw a single tree in a field. It made a great shot with the sky. The sun just started going down..
