Queensday 2009

It's Queens day today!

Everything is Orange with Red White and Bleu today! Also the at the bakery.

Today you can sell and buy stuff on the 'free market'.

If you need a pair of wooden shoes....

Or want to listen to music....

All present at Queens day... Ending with a collage, I rush back into town to visit my sister and brother in law. The weather is too nice to spend behind the pc! Cheers from Marcel

Hello Dear Marcel!
Many thanks for the links, I loved visiting the blogs and so lovely pictures from the royal family! Thanks a lot!

I'm so sorry for the sad news today, I read about " a car hit this Thursday, a group of people waiting in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn the passage of the royal family during a parade at the conclusion of the Queen's Day in the country. According to CNN, two people died in the incident"...
I hope everything is fine now.

Take care okay!
Léia

Happy Queen's Day!!!

I love the wooden shoes. I'm glad to see they're not just something for tourists. :)

Have a nice Queen's Day, Marcel. If I plan another trip to your country I'll have to include this holiday.

So, it is all over Holland, the orange fiesta! I thought myself lucky to have lived that day in Breda!
Thanks for the nice photos Marcel, I hope I will manage to live it again, some time.

What a great celebration to honor the monarchy.

In addition, I'm sorry about the horrible event that happened during the parade. I was in disbelief.

This is how the day should have been remembered.
