Open Monument Day
Every year in september the Open Monument day is organized in Europe (European Heiritage Days). The aim is to open up monuments for the public, the average amount of visitors is 1 miljon and one of the biggest cultural events in the Netherlands. Woerden opened several of it's monuments (which are open anyway usually). An exeption is the possibility to climb the church tower of the St. Peter in the centre of town.

City Daily Photo
I have joined City Daily Photo which is a site where members publish blogs with daily pictures of their town or city. I saw that Woerden was not presented yet. Before I came to live here I always thought that Woerden was a boring stuffy city and never took the time to see more than the train station. Since I live here I have come to know that it is a lively interesting town with a lot of history and social activity.
Besides that I like the idea to have a look in the lives of others around the world by camera. So I hope this will be a interesting insight about living in a town in The Netherlands.
