Evening Fair

Last week there was an evening fair in town.. I was surprized that I could make a such a good picture with my iPhone. For the rest it was not interesting to stay, it would have been fun if I was 16 years of age. That was the age of the average visitor.

The yearly cow market

The yearly, so called cow market, has been last wednesday. The centre of town is then one big market. Lot's of food.. Here some shots to have an impression of the market stands.

The first stand is one with sausages. It's the time of the year for the sausage we eat traditionally in the winter seizon, called rookworst or smoked sausage. This stand owner has traditional made sausages.

Lot's of fish too, but that is not really my pick..

Cheese is traditionally round, but that doesn't needs to be like that.

Even more sausages, homemade...

And finaly, strawberries, actually too red for my iPhone camera..

Poffertjes!

Each year in the month of October and November there is a Poffertjes Eat House at an open field in the centre. Poffertjes are some kind of yeast pancakes. You eat them with powder sugar (not really my treat).

Lots of people

There were a lot of people on the market. Unfortunately the market passed me by and I had no chance to go on the street and make lot's of photo's. However a friend Marc phoned me to have a beer on the New Church Square, that was fun.

A break from the museum, today it is Cow Market in Woerden, the anual festival. Not that I noticed much of it. I am at home today but I have to a lot of work for my job and school, I quickly made a stroll in the centre, it was really busy.
