Coming next: entries about The Hague, the city where I did study years ago, for me it's sacred ground. There is no Hague city blogger so I feel the freedom to do some entries.. :)
This is a taste on beforehand. I assume it is the same as all places in the world, the city has a symbol. For the Hague this is the stork. It is part of the official heraldic weapons. The story behind it is that storks used to build their nests in The Hague. There are no real storks in the Hague anymore but if you take notice you see storks everywhere..

I was fortunate to spend a week in the Hague for a conference in 1991 and remember it as a nice and friendly city.
Oh! Do you know Voorburg? I stayed with a friend there for a few weeks. Lovely city. There was a big hotel with a nice restaurant, but I can't remember the name. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!
