Fascinating

I noticed this interesting gate a few days ago. It looks like a new gate, well kept, but.... in front of the entrance is a big old tree, it would even not be possible to open the gate.. Fascinating, I wonder what the story is of this gate. The tree must be a 150 years old so the gate must have been deliberately situated in front of the tree...
