I saw this mural in a café, I think it is funny, but it does give a feeling of being watched/ scrutinised.

Books, books, books

Last weekend I have been to the Books Festival in Utrecht. It's a hughe hall with books, books and books. For a fair price... so I bought in total 12 books, on all kinds of subjects, spirituality, traveling, politics, history, sexuality and religion.
I have read one of them all ready.. ;)

She cought my attention because she just looked like the actress of O sono l'amore, Tilde Swinton.

Holland Hits Festival

I have been offline for a due to a heavy flue but nevertheless I did not want to mis the Dutch Hits festival in town, I had a blast! Here some impressions.

Conservatorium garden

The garden of the conservatorium of Utrecht... during one of the few sunny days of 2011. This garden used to be part of the cloister garden of the convent which stood here in the middle ages. Before, there used to be a hughe church dedicated to Mary. During the reformation it losts it's importance and it was Napoleon who finaly ordered it to be demolished.

Back from holiday

Aah back from holiday, a relaxing holiday in the Czech Republic. This country is very historic and authentic, a real advise if you don't know where to go to this year :)

But Hollands nice too, I was in Gorinchem last week and saw this very Dutch looking house..

Pigieons

At the baclony of my brothers appartment, a pigeon made a nest and had two youngsters. Both the pigeons and the humans don't bother eachoter.

The tower of our dear lady

I was in Amersfoort this week, the sun light was illuminating the tower fabulously.
It is the second largest church tower of Holland, almost 100 meters high, it's nickname is Long John.
